AQMD INFORMATION
AQMD Information Sheet If you are affected by the California Air Quality Managment District rules, then you must read this sheet! (Last verified on 20 August, 2007.)

Information Sheets
Laser Optics Information Sheet First Contact is safe and effective for use with laser optics. Read this to learn more about First Contact and laser optics.

First Surface Mirrors Information Sheet First Contact makes it possible to clean and protect first surface mirrors quickly and effectively. First surface mirrors are very sensitive. Some, notably silver and gold, mirrors are very sensitive and have historically low adhesion between the coating and substrate. Cleaning these mirrors is possible with First Contact, however it is critical that the polymer is allowed to dry thoroughly when working with these mirrors. Photonic Cleaning Technologies recommends practicing on an old mirror or with a mirror that can only be used again if it is cleaned with First Contact. Many customers now clean first surface mirrors with First Contact regularly, however cleaning first surface mirrors is still a sensitive task and is not to be taken lightly. Contact Photonic Cleaning Technologies (email PCT) for more information.

Photography and Digital Imaging Information Sheet First Contact cleans all quality optics including coated glass lenses and glass filters. Be careful about camera optics as manufacturers continue the move to plastic components: always test a small area before treating the entire component if you are unsure of the optic construction. Contact the camera or lens manufacturer for specific details, they will usually tell you. First Contact can clean detector windows, and protect them while you clean the camera body to get rid of as much dust and contamination as possible.
